“When you walk to the edge of all the light you have and take that first step into the darkness of the unknown, you must believe that one of two things will happen. There will be something solid for you to stand upon or you will be taught to fly.”
― Patrick Overton, The leaning tree: [poems]
Indeed, a lighthearted yet no less sobering reminder of the critical need for practicing attorneys to develop each case to its fullest potential by garnering every available fact, favorable or otherwise, essential in determining whether or not any given case takes shape on “something solid’” or vulnerable to bottoming-out in evidentiary free-fall during trial.
And in no small measure, enhanced case development, criminal or civil, toward that pivotal end defines precisely what our services provide.
Our investigators are former New York City Police Department Detectives with combined field experience bringing criminal cases and conducting post-indictment investigations with the Manhattan and Queens District Attorney’s offices and the United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of New York. Our range of investigative experience in the public sector of professional law enforcement covered cases involving domestic terrorism, homicide, pattern robbery, felonious assault, sex crimes and other, less violent, criminality against property.
That extensive background has since laid the foundation for us to work successfully with criminal and civil attorneys in New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and South Carolina in enhancing a wide range of cases relative to criminal defense, civil litigation, insurance fraud and internal corporate matters of embezzlement, workplace violence, and due diligence. In each case, we methodically collate, cross-reference, classify and grade all gathered information for exculpatory, extenuating and/or mitigating evidentiary value.
Irrespective of venue or nature of the litigation, our professional, experienced investigators will effectively vet each case’s existing evidence and potential for new case material, conduct in-depth witness examinations and re-interviews, evaluate police reports and procedures followed, review forensic and other crime scene evidence and more in order to more-accurately evaluate the verity of material allegations, determine motives, and interpret exhibits and critical facts.
Our mission tasks each investigator to develop all attainable, unbiased, and objective evidence that better prepares attorneys to formulate the best legal strategy predicated on all available case-related facts.
